This is a very small
dummy i made a while ago covered with 5-petal thin fondant-flowers. Somewhat time-consuming, but worth the effort, i think.
I imagine if you´d decorate a real cake this way, it should be quite firm and very well cooled not to dent. With larger cakes, larger flowers should definately be used.
This is adorable! And I love the flower that is on top of it all.
ReplyDeleteDen er så sød og smuk! Og du er skide dygtig og kreativ! :-)
ReplyDeleteJag tänker och tänker, men kan inte förstå hur du fått blommorna att "passa i varandra". Kan du ge tips? :-)
ReplyDeleteDen var ju jättefin!!
Super flot kage. Kæmpe arbejde, men sikke et resultat.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
ReplyDeleteMaria, I will try to explain; first I covered the cake/dummy with a thin layer of fondant. I placed one flower on the side of the cake. This flower i cut offset with the flower cutter, and inserted a complete flower to fit - which i then cut offset with the cutter and so forth.
Does that make any sense...? :)
Oj :) Måste ha tagit lååååång tid :) Återigen - helt fantastiskt fin!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Love the color palette.
ReplyDeleteThanks again - SweetThings, the color is Mauve from Americolor. I love it too :)
